Kentucky clients usually call us about one of three things: a building where people come and go all day, a large property that sits quiet overnight, or a gate where freight and visitors need to be checked. Here is how each service fits.
Posted security officers, armed and unarmed
Unarmed officers cover front desks, lobbies, access points and building rounds in hotels, offices, apartments and stores. Armed officers are for sites with cash handling, high-value product or a real history of violent incidents. We will tell you plainly which one your Louisville or Lexington site needs, and we will not push armed coverage where it is not called for.
SecureOne officers come from military, law enforcement or security backgrounds. Each completes required and site-specific training, works alongside a field supervisor until ready, and is First Aid and CPR certified.
Mobile patrol for quiet properties

A patrol officer visits on a set schedule or at random times, checks doors, gates and fence lines, locks and unlocks buildings, and responds to alarms. Patrol vehicles carry GPS Insight live tracking and in-car 360-degree cameras, and you get a patrol report by email every day. For barrel warehouses, yards and buildings that empty out at night, patrol often covers the risk for far less than a full-time post.
Solar camera trailers
Where there is no power and no staff, a solar-powered camera trailer provides 24/7 remote monitoring. Units include live monitoring, motion-activated alerts, pan-tilt-zoom cameras, talk-down audio through an onboard speaker and a backup power system. They work well on construction sites, lots and the far corners of large properties.
Off-duty police officers
Some posts need a police officer, not a security officer. In those cases SecureOne can provide off-duty and recently retired police officers in good standing, each background checked, trained in SecureOne's force policies, and certified in CPR, AED and First Aid.
Event and short-term security
We staff armed and unarmed officers for one-day events, short projects and urgent needs. In 2019 alone, SecureOne provided more than 80,000 manhours of short-term and event security.
Kentucky industries and what officers do there
Distilleries and aging warehouses
Gate logs, perimeter checks of long warehouse rows, visitor escorts during the day and patrols or camera trailers overnight. For larger production campuses, SecureOne's industrial security services cover access control, shift change coverage and plant rounds.
Distribution centers and freight yards

Truck check-in, trailer and seal checks, dock control and interior rounds between shifts.
Hotels and hospitality
Lobby coverage, guest floor rounds, parking lot patrols and help with difficult guests, handled calmly.
Manufacturing plants
Badge checks, contractor sign-in, visitor escorts and after-hours checks of production areas and yards.
Retail stores
Officers keep an eye on the floor and the parking lot and stay easy to talk to. If a theft or confrontation happens, they de-escalate and call the police. They do not chase anyone.
Offices and apartments
Front desk staffing, lock-up, escorts to parking and patrols with reports managers can share.
How your account is managed
You will not have to chase anyone for information. Reports, photos and patrol checks are posted in Vision InSites, SecureOne's real-time security reporting platform, as they happen. Your account has one point of contact available 24/7 and the 24-hour dispatch center behind it. Field supervisors inspect posts at no additional cost, and WinTeam keeps scheduling and billing accurate. On site, officers wear a tan shirt, black hat, black pants and black shoes.
Kentucky security questions
Who staffs a Kentucky account?
Officers come from vetted local security partners. SecureOne manages every Kentucky account: we set the post orders and standards, review reporting in Vision InSites, and stay your single point of contact at (888) 834-5285.
Can you cover a property outside Louisville and Lexington?
Often, yes. Call (888) 834-5285 with the address and the hours you need, and we will confirm coverage.
Should a distillery or warehouse have a full-time guard?
Not always. Many large properties that go quiet overnight are well covered by patrols, a camera trailer or a mix of both. We will recommend the lighter option when it does the job.
Will your officers chase a shoplifter?
No. They de-escalate and call the police.
